Surely this tour is not billed as an operatic tour, but all to do with the Bring him home CD,thus the songs will be of a different genre to opera.

Alfie, I am sorry you have had a negative comment about Liverpool Phil concert. It was brilliant and that cannot be denied. The concert wasnt just to sell a CD and didn't come across as that. It showed your versitility and the direction you are heading in and how much you appriciate your fans. I know you would not want to dissapoint anybody. Although it may not have been opera based it could not fail to touch your soul.

I find it sad that someone could even think Alfie's concerts are in any way to sell CDs. All true fans will know this. This tour was surely to cross over to a different genre. His voice touches us all.

I read a similar comment by a lady in response the newspaper review on the Nottingham performance.  The tour was never billed as an operatic tour, nor was it a cd promotion.  I personally believe, that it was Alfie's way of reaching as many fans as possible, in response to his rising popularity.  The tour has shown many people Alfie's vocal versatility, he's often  spoken about not wanting to be labelled as 'just an opera singer' and I don't blame him, when he's shown himself to be so much more.  I was in Nottingham, front row, it was a phenomenal, unforgettable experience.  I was not disappointed in the least, because I no preconceived expectations and was rewarded with so much more.   Alfie's rendition of 'In My Daughter's Eyes' and 'Song to the Siren' brought me to tears. I love all of Alfie's music, 'La Passione' is my favourite operatic cd and both of his latest albums are top of my ipod list.

Just want to say that other performers tour to sell their albums.  Alfie has endeared himself to many but still has to make a living.  He gets to do what he loves. We benefit from it as well, so if he tours, all the better for us!  Best of every thing Alfie, from across the pond!

I know I am going to upset the diehard Alfie Boe Fans but i was disapointed in the choice of music. He has decided to switch his music genre to quickly and I feel he may have not brought some of his fans with him. If Alfie feel this is the best road to go down good luck to him. I have no problem with the voice as I feel he is so close to to Coln Wilkingson's Bring him home, But at times. Not sure if he had 100% backing at Bournemouth. Becky is a real find great voice hope to see more of her.…
